Alan Knight is known on the island for his acting, directing, writing and beer. A brewer by day, he was for some time also manager of the Artworks Theatre. He is a member of the comic group Rogues and Vagabonds.

He also maintains a blog, mainly aimed against Community Board Member Nobilangelo Ceramalus's campaign to redraw the local council boundaries.
