Dorte Wray

Dorte Wray was born on Waiheke Island in 1981 and represents one of four generations of her family currently living on the Island. Her grandfather Gordon Hodson has a decorated thirty six year history of community involvement on Waiheke. With training in conflict resolution along with a post graduate degree in management, Dorte brings much needed skills to the community, coupled with youthful vitality. Her commitment to community extends past her position at the Waste Resource Trust, to include a range of ecological and social causes; Dorte has worked as a caregiver to the disabled and is a member of the Waiheke Island Council of Social Services. With the advent of Auckland's new supercity structure, Dorte hopes to be a voice for Waiheke Islanders and brings to the table a youthful vision which encompasses economic, environmental and transport solutions in a cohesive grass-roots manner.
