Tawaipareira Reserve is located adjacent to Ostend road near the supermarket in Ostend. In part over an old, illegal tip, the reserve is these days the site of the island's skatepark. Along with Rangihoua, Tawaipareira Reserve is managed by a committee consisting of representatives of both Auckland City and Ngati Paoa.
