The Waiheke Winegrowers Association has the following guarding principles in their constitution:

To promote and enhance Waiheke Island as a top wine-growing region in New Zealand through best viticulture standards by

• practicing of sustainable viticulture and provision of traceability through an

approved form for the record keeping of chemical usage by all members as determined by the Committee from time to time.

• promoting Waiheke Island as a fine-wine growing region
• living in harmony with our neighbours
• creating local employment opportunities
• acquiring and disseminating knowledge
• enjoying together the fruits of our labours
