Beginning with amalgamation with Auckland City Council in 1989 and ending when Auckland Council was created effective 1 November 2010, the Waiheke Community Board represented the interests of the people and communities of Waiheke Island under the Local Government Act. It's successor organisation is the Waiheke Island Local Board
